Standard warranty
New Mopeds and Scooters
New mopeds and scooters have a standard 1-year warranty or up to 6,000 kilometers. The warranty applies only to manufacturing faults and not to wear-sensitive parts. The factory warranty is only for the materials (parts) and not for the labor. Transport such as our collection and delivery service is also not covered by this warranty.
Maintenance
The first 3 maintenance intervals are mandatory and have to be performed at Scooter Zone Curacao for the warranty to be valid.
4 stroke Mopeds and Scooters
· 1st interval = between 500 and 1000km
· 2nd interval = between 2000 and 3000 km
· 3rd and next interval: every 3000- 4000km or every year
2-stroke Mopeds and Scooters
· 1st interval = between 1000 and 1250 km
· 2nd interval = between 4000 and 5000 km
· 3rd and next interval: every 5000km or every year
* The buyer is always responsible for maintenance costs
Used mopeds or scooters
Our used mopeds or scooters over Nafl.2000,- are always delivered serviced and with a 3-month warranty on the rotating parts of the engine.
To be able to claim a warranty, you must present the invoice and the registration certificate. The warranty starts from the day of the registration.
Warranty expires at;
· After improper use or use for which the scooter or moped is not intended.
· After not performing the maintenance on time.
· After tinkering by a third party on the moped or scooter, that is not an authorized dealer
· After tuning the moped or scooter in any way
· After damage due to fall, collision or damage
· After resale to third parties.
· Use for commercial purposes
What is not covered by warranty
· Batteries, tires, wiring, light bulbs or LEDs, brakes, brake pads or brake discs, belts, filters, pulleys, clutch or other parts that are susceptible to wear.
· Wear that results from normal use
· Breakage due to damage or rust
· A warranty is only granted on plastic parts or body parts if manufacturing or construction faults are found before the delivery of the new moped or scooter.
Performance Tuning
We cannot be held liable for the any negative result of tuning your moped or scooter, under whatever circumstances. When you tune your moped or scooter, we recommend that you only use it on your own property.
Order and deposit
We require a deposit of at least 50% to order a scooter. The purchase is closed with the deposit. If we cannot deliver the product, you will of course receive your full deposit back. If you cancel the purchase, you will lose your deposit. When you purchase a scooter with monthly payments, the purchase is closed when you sign the purchase contract. This means that the purchase can no longer be undone. The reason for this is that mopeds, scooters and maxi scooters are ordered specifically for you. Its not possible to dissolve a purchase contract on an already ordered moped or scooter.
Promotions
Promotions do not apply in combination with other offers.
You can only use 1 coupon code per order.
Delivery times
Normally all orders are delivered within +/- 4 to 8 weeks weeks. In occasional cases it can sometimes happen that the ordered moped or scooter cannot be delivered within this time. This is due to business or insufficient stock at the importer. This allows the delivery time to be up to 12 weeks. Of course we do everything we can to keep the delivery time as short as possible. If we are unexpectedly unable to deliver within 12 weeks, the purchase can be canceled.
